Your data

There is a database. The previous version of this page said there was not: that was true when it was written and stopped being true the day one was connected. This is what is inside it, written from the code that uses it.

Nobody but the atelier reads your file. Who counts as the atelier is not a column in the database: it is a list of addresses that lives outside it, in the deployment's configuration, and if that list is empty there is no workshop at all. No other client can open your file, not even by typing its address by hand.

What you write and what the atelier measures are two different things. Your measurements and the piece you configure are kept against your address so you have them on any device, and they appear on no workshop screen: what the atelier sees there is what it has measured with a tape. When you press send, an email leaves with your figures, and that sending is an act separate from writing them.

Where it travels. The site is served from Vercel, mail leaves through Resend, and the database is whichever one the atelier has connected to the deployment. Each sees what its part needs: the mail carries your address and whatever you wrote in the form.

How long. Access links expire after fifteen minutes and confirmation links after twenty-four hours. A session lasts thirty days. Your file stays as long as the atelier keeps it: it is deleted by asking, and below is how.

What is kept

• Your file: name, address, the date it was opened, the commission with its stage and its notes, your appointments, the finished pieces, and the most recent appointment request with what you wrote in it and your telephone if you gave one.
• The measurements the atelier takes, on that same file.
• What you write before you send it: your measurements and the piece you configure, held against your address.
• Not your password. Only a cryptographic fingerprint that cannot be worked backwards, in a separate table no page ever renders.
• The archive photographs, re-encoded for the web. The original the workshop uploads is not kept.

What you can do

• Delete the measurements you wrote: the button is on the measurements page itself, and it clears both the saved draft and the cookie, if one was left.
• Sign out: it clears the session cookie, which also expires on its own after 30 days.
• Ask for a copy of your file, or for the whole of it to be deleted. The measurements the atelier took are its working record and are not deleted from here: ask by email and they are.
• Ask for anything you sent by email to be deleted: it is deleted from the inbox.

Cookies

Three cookies, and none of them follows you

There is no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracker. The three cookies that exist are functional: without them the client area does not work, which is why you are not asked to consent to them. With a database connected only the first is used; the other two are the path that remains for when the site runs without one.

What is commissioned, and on what terms

Nothing is sold here. There is no basket, no payment and no order to confirm online: a commission begins with a conversation at the atelier, and what is agreed there is what stands. Of what is agreed, two things are worth knowing beforehand: a piece cut to your pattern is not returnable, because it fits nobody else; and the fit is guaranteed — it is altered as many times as it takes, two or three days each time, until it falls where it should.
